If you’ve been stuck in a breakfast rut (trust me, we’ve all been there), I’ve got something for you that’s not only super quick and nutritious, but also feels like a treat. I’m talking about yogurt bowls — those creamy, colourful little wonders that somehow manage to be healthy and comforting at the same time. And let me tell you, once you try a few of these, you’ll be hooked.

These ideas are perfect for busy mornings, especially when you want a protein-packed start without spending ages in the kitchen. Plus, they’re totally customisable – just pick your fave fruits, nuts, or even a cheeky drizzle of chocolate.

Here are my 13 favourite combos to try – mix and match, or make them your own!

Tropical Mornings Bowl

Start your day on a sunny note! Creamy Greek yogurt + juicy mango chunks + shredded coconut = a mini getaway in a bowl. Add some granola for crunch and honey for sweetness, and boom – you're transported to a beach.

Try with: mango, Greek yogurt, granola, chia seeds, shredded coconut, honey

Apple Pie Feels

Imagine the smell of warm apples and cinnamon in the morning. Yep, that’s what this bowl is about. Quickly sauté your apple chunks with cinnamon and top your yogurt with them. So cosy, so comforting.

Toppings: warm apple, cinnamon, granola, walnuts, maple syrup

Banana Nut Crunch

Banana + nut = instant happiness. Slice a banana over thick Greek yogurt, toss on almonds and granola, drizzle a little honey, and you've got yourself a nourishing, high-protein breakfast in minutes.

Perfect combo: banana, Greek yogurt, almonds, granola, honey

Berry Beautiful Bowl

Fresh berries are always a good idea. This one’s bright, light, and antioxidant-packed. Use whatever berries you have on hand – blueberries, raspberries, strawberries – and sprinkle with granola for extra texture.

Go with: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, granola, honey

Piña Bowlada

Sweet pineapple chunks + coconut = summer in a spoon. This bowl is refreshing, fruity, and perfect when you're craving tropical flavours. Add chia seeds if you're feeling fancy.

In the bowl: pineapple, Greek yogurt, coconut flakes, granola, honey, +tipp: mango slices

Tiramisu-Inspired Treat

Got a thing for coffee? Same. This yoghurt bowl has a cheeky espresso twist. Mix instant coffee into your yogurt, crumble some ladyfingers, sprinkle cocoa, and sweeten it with a touch of syrup. It’s breakfast and a caffeine hit in one.

Try it with: espresso powder, cocoa, ladyfingers, maple syrup, Plus tip: Chia seeds

Zesty Cran-Orange

This one’s so fresh and tangy – I love it for wintery mornings. Citrus segments and dried cranberries over creamy yogurt, with a crunch of granola and a golden drizzle of honey.

Use these: orange slices, cranberries, granola, honey

Strawberry Kiwi Vibes

For when you want something juicy and vibrant. The strawberries and kiwi work so well with the tanginess of the yogurt. You’ll feel like you’re treating yourself every time.

Add in: strawberries, kiwi, granola, honey, chia seeds

Pistachio Perfection

This one’s for my friends who like a little elegance with their breakfast. Pistachios, a bit of chia, a swirl of honey – it’s like a grown-up take on a classic yogurt bowl.

What you’ll need: chopped pistachios, chia seeds, honey, Greek yogurt

PB & Banana Bowl

The classic combo you can never go wrong with. The peanut butter melts into the yogurt and coats the banana slices like a dream. Super filling, super satisfying.

Just grab: peanut butter, banana, granola, honey

Peach Melba Remix

If you like peaches and raspberries, this one’s a total winner. Juicy, fruity, with a touch of crunch – I could eat this every day in summer.

Ingredients: peach slices, raspberries/strawberries, granola, honey

Matcha Glow Bowl

A favourite for when I want something energising. Whisk matcha into the yogurt (a tiny bit goes a long way!), add berries, chia seeds, and enjoy the antioxidant boost.

Go green with: matcha, strawberries, chia seeds, honey

Coconut Lime Surprise

Bright, fresh, and a little tangy – this combo of lime juice, coconut, and pineapple is like a tropical smoothie bowl’s cousin. You’ll want to eat this with the window open and some sunshine streaming in.

You’ll need: lime juice, coconut, pineapple chunks, honey

Tip from me to you: Always start with a thick Greek yogurt base for extra creaminess and protein. Then play around with textures – something soft (fruit), something crunchy (nuts or granola), and a little sweetness (honey or maple syrup). You really can’t mess it up!

Let me know which one you try first, or if you create your own – I’d love to hear about it!
